At the start of the 2006/07 season this midfield youngster (b 23/06/86) was signed by the then new manager Mark Morsley from Suffolk and Ipswich league side Ransomes Sports. He started several games bur sustained a knee injury and in November 2006 was loaned out to Ridgeons Premier League side Needham Market to get some match fitness. On the 21st of December he was recalled from that loan. On the 8th January 2007 he was released from his contract with AFC and on 11th January he signed for Diss Town. Towards the end of February 2007 he transferred his SIL registration from Ransomes Sports to Ipswich Athletic and played for them. At the start of the 2007/08 season he was still with them and remained there in September 2008. In September 2009 he was playing for Grundisburgh and was still there in April 2010 and was still there at the start of the 2010/11 season. He continued with Grundisburgh and was then on 8th October 2011. On 20th July 2012 he was announced as a new signing for Mildenhall Town, however on 27th they had decided to part company. On 28th July he was playing for Felixstowe and Walton United in a pre-season game, but on the opening day of the league season turned out for Whitton United, where he remained throughout the 2012/13 season. In October 2013 he was still with the Ipswich side and at the end of the season won the Thurlow Nunn First Division championship and also the Suffolk Senior Cup with them. On 24th June 2014 Stowmarket Town announced that he had signed for them for the 2014/15 season. He was still them in April 2015 and he won the Managers Player Of the Year Award jointly at the end of the season. On 2nd September 2015 was playing for Ipswich Wanderers. In the 2016/17 season 4th October he was playing again for Stowmarket Town. he was with them on 29th April 2017 and won a Thurlow Nunn First Division Championship medal. On 20th June 2017 he was announced as returning to Whitton United for the 2017/18 season.He played throughout the 2017/18 season as the club won promotion.

Gavin Brightwell

A very raw youngster, he joined the reserves in season 2004/05 from Long Melford Under 18’s and was in and out of the side. He played in two Eastern Floodlight League games during that season, and stayed with the club until the end of the 2005/06 season. During that time he spend time playing for Bures United, at the start of the 2006/07 season he left and joined Hadleigh United playing there in their reserve side. In early November 2007 he joined Long Melford Reserves, but in September 2008 he was with Glemsford and Cavendish United. In the middle of October 2008 he had returned to Long Melford, and re-signed for them at the start of season 2009/10. In April 2010 he was back with Glemsford and Cavendish. At the start of 2010/11 he was back with Long Melford Reserves, but in March 2011 was again with the Glemsford club as they reached the final of the Suffolk Junior Cup. They went onto win the trophy defeating Leiston St Margarets 3-1. At the start of the 2014/15 season he was registered with Hadleigh United's reserve side and was still playing for them on 24th March 2015 when they won the Suffolk Reserve Team Cup. He continued with the 'Millfield' club during the 2015/16 season and was with them in December 2015. In June 2018 he was the assistant manager of the Hadleigh Under 18 side and assistant manager and player for the reserves.

Michael Brothers

A wide midfield player, he signed for the club on 12th January 2007 from Wivenhoe Town. He started with Colchester United and then played for Harwich & Parkeston, before joining Needham Market in season 2005/06 where Mark Morsley was the manager. He left there to join Maldon Town, but at the start of the 2006/07 was with Wivenhoe Town and during the early part of the season he played several games on loan back at Harwich & Parkeston, before joining AFC. Made his debut against Waltham Forest on 13th January 2007 as a substitute, however at the end of the season he was placed on the transfer list. He was released from his contract and on 21st July 2007 he played in pre-season game for AFC Hornchurch, and later signed for the club. In the middle of September 2007 he left and signed for Leiston,, but on 19th November he decided to go back to Wivenhoe Town. On 8th February 2008 Wivenhoe announced he had gone back to AFC Hornchurch, and on 3rd May he played again for Leiston. Brantham Athletic announced on 11th June 2008 they had signed him for the 2008/09 season. He remained there until 22nd January 2009 when he signed once again for Leiston, and was still there at the start of the 2009/10 season. He played throughout and signed again for them in 2010/11 and was still there in November 2010. He won promotion with Leiston in April 2011 and started the 2011/12 season on 20th August 2011 with the Victory Road club. On 25th November 2011 he went on a months loan to Harwich and Parkeston, this was extended to end on 24th January 24th 2012. He returned to Leiston and played until the end of the season winning promotion with them. On 2nd June Leiston announced that he had left the Victory Road club. On 20th June 2012 Brantham Athletic announced that he had re-joined them for 2012/13, he stayed with them until 6th December 2012 when he re-signed yet again for Leiston. In the first week of April 2013 had signed an extension to his contract to stay with them until the end of the 2014/15 season. When the new management team arrived at AFC at the end of May 2013 he became their first signing on 9th June 2013. On 1st October 2013 he went on a three month loan deal to Stanway Rovers, and on the 2nd January 2014 the loan was made permanent when an undisclosed fee was agreed for the player to remain at ‘The Hawthorns’. On 31st March 2014 he signed once again for Needham Market and helped them in to the Ryman North play-offs. On 11th May he announced he would not be with them in 2014/15 and on 20th May he had re-joined Leiston. He started the 2104/15 season with the Victory Road club but on 3rd October had been released and joined Brightlingsea Regent. After eleven games ,on 26th November 2014 he was on his way back yet again to Needham Market. He stayed to the end of the season winning a Championship medal as the club won the Ryman North title on 25th April 2015 and promotion to the Ryman Premier League. On 29th May he announced he was leaving 'The Marketmen' and on 1st June he had joined once again Brantham Athletic as a player/coach. On 18th September 2015 Needham Market announced he had once again returned and signed for them. On 5th March 2016 the club stated he had agreed a deal until the end of the 2016/17 season. On 14th May 2016 he was given the Players Player Of The Year award. He returned to the 'The Bloomfields' club at the start of the 2016/17 and played until on 21st October he left and joined FC Clacton. (86 apps 28 gls) He made his debut the next day scored a goal and was sent off. He remained with them until 5th January 2017 when he was appointed joint-manager of Brantham Athletic. The 2017/18 season saw him continue in the same position and he also played as the club finished fifth and won the League Cup.

Danny Brown

A strong tall defender (b 06/03/85) with previous experience at Football League clubs Chelsea and Wycombe Wanderers, he played for two seasons with Basingstoke Town and in season 2007/08 both Harrow Borough and Chesham United. He signed on for the club on 30th July 2008, after playing only fifteen minutes in a competitive game an FA Cup tie against Lowestoft Town, he was released on 6th September 2008. He did not play again until January 2009 when he joined Burnham. At the start of pre-season 2009/10 he re-appeared at King’s Marsh and played on 18th July 2009, and remained until the end of the 2009/10 season, April 2010. In the middle of May 2010 he signed again for the 2010/11 season, he started the season but on 16th September he was released. In the middle of October he had signed and was playing for Aveley, however after a change of manager in November 2010 he was reported to have hung up his boots. In December 2011 he was believed to be only playing local Sunday league football. On 25th August 2012 he was playing Essex Olympian League football with Southminster St Leonards, and he was there again at the start of the 2013/14 season August 2013. He helped them win the league title at the end of the 2014/15 season, however in July 2014 he had joined Bowers and Pitsea. He stayed with them until on 27th March 2015 he announced he was retiring from football.

Ian Brown

Born 11th September 1965, he started his career with Luton Town before making one appearance for Birmingham City. He was then with a number of local clubs, Felixstowe Town, Harwich and Parkeston, Stowmarket Town before going to Chelmsford City. He then went into the Football League with Bristol City also playing at both Colchester United and Northampton Town. He then joined Sudbury Town followed by Cambridge City, Felixstowe and Walton United, Braintree Town, Witham Town, Clacton Town and Maldon Town. From 2005 he was with Whitton United and became their manager in 2009 leaving two years later and joining for a short time Hadleigh United on the coaching side. He joined AFC as first team coach late in October 2012 and on 13th March 2013 he was put in charge of team affairs along with Michael Shinn after the resignation of Chris Tracey. In May 2013 he was appointed as assistant manager when the new management team took over. He continued in that position until 25th January 2014 when he took over as the interim manager of the club’s reserve/under 21′s side when the manager resigned but returned to first team duties in April 2014. On 15th July 2014 he had left the club, the next day he was announced as first team coach at Hadleigh United. On 16th January 2015 he was appointed as manager of the club following the departure of another ex-AFC man Stuart Crawford. He continued at the start of the 2015/16 season, July 2015 and was still there in April 2016. On 30th May 2016 the club announced that he had left his position there. On 28th July 2017 he was appointed as Assistant Manager of the Suffolk FA Under 18 representative side.

Jacob Brown

A young midfielder (b 14/07/94) signed from the Cambridge City youth set up at the start of the 2010/11 season, made his first team début as a substitute at Lowestoft on 16th November 2010. He played for the club’s reserve side for the rest of the season and won the Young Player of the Year Award at the end of the 2010/11 season. He signed again for the club at the start of the 2011/12 season and played again for the first team on 13th December 2011. At the end of the season he won The Managers Player of the Year award. On 27th July 2012 he was added to the first team squad for the 2012/13 season. On 1st August 2012 he went to play for Haverhill Rovers on a dual registration and scored on his debut on 4th August. On 29th September 2012 he was recalled and played for the first team, he remained in the squad until the start of March 2013 when he went back to Haverhill. On 19th March 2013 Haverhill had cancelled his Thurlow Nunn registration and he played for Diss Town but was still registered with AFC for Ryman games. On 5th June 2013 he had joined Diss Town for the 2013/14 season, he remained with them in 2014/15 and was still there on 3rd January 2015. He was there on 6th April when the club were relegated, but did win the Supporters Player Of The Year Award. On 31st May 2015 Mildenhall Town announced he had signed for them for season 2015/16 and he was still there in May 2016 winning a Thurlow Nunn League Cup winners medal. He remained with 'The Recway' club in season 2016/17 and played for them on 4th October 2016. He played throughout the season and at the end won a Thurlow Nunn Premier League Championship medal and a League Cup winners medal. He won the Young Player of the Year Award at the end of the season. On 4th July 2017 the club announced he had signed a one-year contract extension.

Josh Brown

A young midfield player (b 20/09/89) with plenty of pace, he joined the club on the eve of the 2009/10 season. He had previously had trials with a number of Football League clubs he was the son of ex-Sudbury Town forward, Ian. He played only one game for the club before being released on 26th August 2009, and he went to play for Whitton United. He was with them throughout the 2010/11 season, and continued again for the 2011/12 campaign.

Tony Bruce

A tall midfield player he came to play reserve team football, having been with Sudbury Athletic, Cornard United and Long Melford previously. He played in two Eastern Floodlight games in season 2004/05, scoring a goal in a game at Saffron Walden Town. He played until the end of the 2005/06 and played in the winning Suffolk Junior Cup side of April 2006 at Portman Road then stopped playing. In May 2014 he was playing the occasional five-a-side game.

Chris Bryan

A striker, 28 years old when he joined AFC on 23rd March 2012 after being released by Chelmsford City earlier in that week. He started his football career with Halstead Town and in 2008/09 was their Player of The Year. He left them in July 2010 to join Heybridge Swifts where he stayed until being transferred to Chelmsford City at the beginning of February 2012. He was not retained at the end of the 2011/12 season, and on 2nd July was announced as a new signing for the 2012/13 at Maldon and Tiptree where he remained until the end of the season. His first appearance of 2013/14 was on 17th September 2013 again with the Essex club. On 26th December 2013 he had transferred back to Heybridge Swifts. On 21st May 2014 he had agreed to stay with them for the 2014/15 season. On 3rd July 2014 Grays Athletic announced he had joined them. for the 2014/15 season. He started with them, however on 5th November went on a month's loan to Ware, but on 22nd November he was playing again for Heybridge Swifts. On 9th January 2015 he transferred to Witham Town. On 28th July 2015 he played and scored for Bowers and Pitsea against AFC. He was with them as they reached the semi-final of the FA Vase and gained promotion from the ESL at the end of the season. At the start of July 2016 he had returned to Heybridge Swifts. On 4th October 2016 he was playing for Halstead Town again. He was transferred from Heybridge to Bowers again on 4th January 2017. On 21st November he was playing for Gt Wakering Rovers and he was still with them on 21st February 2018.

David Bryant

A forward (b 09/06/82) he played for Maldon Town, Aveley, Thurrock, Boreham Wood and Braintree Town, he joined AFC on 21st August 2012 and made his debut the following day. He was released from the club on 23rd September 2012. On 5th January 2013 he had joined and played for East Thurrock United. They announced on 1st July 2013 that he would remain with them for 2013/14 and on 10th August 2013 he scored on the opening day of the 2013/14 season. He remained with 'The Rocks' throughout the season and won the Chairman's, Manager's, Players, and Supporters Player of the Year awards. On 19th June 2014 East Thurrock stated he had joined them again for the 2014/15 season, and he played for them throughout the season. He was playing for them again on 3rd August 2015, however on 28th September he announced that he was retiring from football.

Craig Bussens

A right sided midfield player (b 28/10/89) he was with Norwich City in their academy until being released at the end of the 2006/07 season. He was snapped up by Cambridge United and after playing for CRC was signed as a professional at the end of the 2007/08 season. In his younger days he captained both Norfolk and Cambridgeshire at youth level. He signed for AFC on 5th September 2008 initially on loan until 1st January 2009, this was later extended to the end of the 2008/09 season. On 3rd July 2009 he signed for Lowestoft Town, and was still there in April 2011. He later transferred to Dereham Town and was still with them in September 2014, late in the season he suffered a broken leg. On 17th July 2015 he was on the road to recovery and signed again for the Aldiss Park club, and although named as a substitute for the opening game of the season 8th August 2015 he was in fact at home! He made his first playing appearance for their reserve side on 10th October 2015, and then played on throughout the season. On 13th May 2016 he won a winners medal in the Norfolk Senior Cup. He remained with Dereham at the start of the 2016/17 season before on 26th November 2016 transferred and played for Wroxham and played for them on 22nd April 2017 as the club were relegated. On 6th June 2017 he agreed a deal to remain with them for the 2017/18 season and played for them on 27th January 2018.
