The yellas had the kick off and right from the start
the girls looked up for this pushing forward it wasn’t long before Kaylee Dodd had delivered one of her famous crosses for Sleepy to head just over the bar a marker had been laid down.
With mounting pressure the girls had several more good chances before 11 minutes in a brilliant well worked move saw Pheobie Guiver wriggle her way past a couple of defenders into the box and calmly slot into the bottom corner 1:0.
The play was all Yellow and we didn’t have to wait too long before a cross from Dodd into Sleepy whos shot was parried away by the Hutton Keeper only too land at the feet of Guiver who took advantage of the keeper off her line to chip into the back of the net 2 : 0
Dodd down the right and Creaton down the left were giving the Hutton defence a torrid time.
The 3rd goal came from more pressure down the right hand side Dodd having the better of Huttons left sided defenders another one of those great crosses saw Sleepy with that oh so important touch deflecting the ball into the net.
3:0 Half time.
Second Half
Whatever the Hutton manager said at half time worked as the Hutton girls come out strong and pressed hard for the first 15 however our defence stood strong.
It was clear to Mallet changes were needed, I have to say what a bench any managers dream. Tye Smith, Bonnie Sheppard, Bella Crawford and Alex Penny.
Were on for Dodd, Sleepy, Fitzpatrick and Stephenson.
Instantly Tye and Alexes pace put Sudbury on the front foot and it wasn’t long before Tye latched onto a ball over top only to see her shot go outside the post.
Not to be put off Tye kept on pushing the line and it wasn’t long before she was in again this time slotting home on the 66th minute.
By this time Hutton were beginning to tire 73 in Tye got her 2nd.
Hutton were in for some more pressure when a move started from a goal kick went to Alex Penny who’s persistence paid off getting her first goal for AFC Sudbury the first in what I am sure will be many.
Overall a great display from the girls with 6 goals and a clean sheet.
The future is bright the future is Yellow
