It is with great delight that we can announce Kayleigh Steed as our new Head of Girls Football at the Academy with immediate effect
Kayleigh brings with her a wealth of experience in female football, both from playing and coaching and holds the UEFA B licence. She also is a previous AFC Sudbury women’s player and still lives locally. Coming from a background of working in other youth development programmes, she understands and flourishes in the environment that the Academy operates in
Kayleigh’s remit will be to work full-time in the Academy and to develop players to progress into the Academy and onto the first team stage
Darren Scoulding (Assistant Academy Manager) said ‘we are delighted to have Kayleigh join us and are excited with the fresh ideas and energy she will bring to the role, whilst maintaining our high standards of professionalism and engagement’
Kayleigh said ‘I first started my coaching journey at the club when I was 15 years old so to come back feels like I’ve come full circle along with my playing time here. I’m excited to get to know the players and to work with the staff here and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the role on a full-time basis’
