Today’s session was on playing a defensive line and the differences between a high line and a low line.

Having been encouraging the boys to play a high line this season and being met with resistance, Kurt and I braced ourselves for the boys to prefer playing a low line. To our surprise, all the boys prefer the high line as they are able to press play quicker. But what we did like seeing was the defenders talking and communicating what line they wanted to play and varying their options.

Due to this communication, our 2 stand out players were our 2 centre backs, with Ron just being edged out by our returning captain, Tommy.

Well done boys. I’m sure if we can stay injury free, we’ll soon start climbing the league table.
