This week we have under the manager spotlight, one of our U16 EJA managers, Shane Leeks who's son has been banging them in as a U16 for our U18 Thurlow Nunn side this season.

What professional team do you support and why?
Everton first team I saw against Ipswich in the 80s great side stuck with them ever since someone has too! Also Ipswich of course.

Who are your top 3 players and why?
1 - Messi best to play the game in my opinion
2 - Paul gascoigne who doesn’t love Gazza
3 - Steven Gerrard complete midfielder

Who was the biggest influence on your football career?
Anyone who has coached me and my brothers/mates we lived and breathed football

What is the proudest moment of your footballing career?
Winning the Suffolk senior cup final at Portman road with Hadleigh United as a player and the progression of players/teams I’ve coached and the success they have had over the years.

You are a firm believer in our CORE values and fair play because?
Respect and fair play towards team mates,coaches,opposition and officials are important to encourage, there are times we can all get carried away as we are all passionate but it should be done in the right manor.

Elvis Presley is my preference but the lads don’t let me near the music

Any other sports you enjoy playing or watching?
Darts/snooker/boxing to be honest I watch every sport

Do you have any advice for players to become the best that they can be?
Be respectful, work hard, listen to your coaches always look to improve.
