Hours : Around 2 hours a week depending on fixtures
Role Summary : AFC Sudbury are looking to recruit a Match Day Secretary for their Men’s 1st Team for the 2023/24 season at step 3 football.
The successful candidate(s) will gain a first-hand experience of working with the AFC Sudbury successful Men’s 1st Team, liaising with the Club Secretary, Men’s 1st Team management staff, match day officials and away team Secretary to provide the relevant paperwork needed to comply with league and FA competition regulations.
Job Role
• Match days only – being at home and away matches, obtaining starting team line up, substitute details, kit colours, physio details, match day officials’ expenses and completing match day paperwork, before exchanging information with opposition secretary and match day officials 45 minutes before the match kicks off to ensure no fines are received. Also to confirm all players are registered to play.
• To collate data during the match of any bookings, red cards, goals, attendance and to finalise the match day paperwork before sending the information over after the match to the Club Secretary.
• To chat to the match day officials after the match giving them any feedback on their officiating of the match and to collect their paperwork with details of infringements during the match, which also gets sent over to the Club Secretary.
