We are delighted to announce that for the Academy's seventh annual tour to the USA we have been accepted into the Jnr Irish Soccer Club 2024 Memorial Day Invitational held in South Bend, Indiana.

For the first time the 2024 Tour will be spread across two states of the US. The main base for the tour will be the campus of Illinois Tech, based in downtown Chicago, Illinois, however due to the reputation and prestige of the Jnr Soccer Club hosted tournament the party of 55 players (2 Girls Teams and 1 boys Team) will travel across state to Indiana to hopefully bring a trophy or two home.

The Junior Irish SC Memorial Day Invitational has been running for 47 years and is a tournament in an area of the USA that has a rich soccer history, we are all looking forward to expanding our reach to areas of the USA not visited before by the AFC Sudbury Academy. To combine the tour with staying at Illinois Tech will be a great experience for the players, living as student athletes for the week at state of the art American College accommodation. As well as the usual cultural and sightseeing opportunities Chicago has to offer we will be playing other exhibition soccer matches outside of the tournament in partnership with local soccer club the Chicago Kics.
